Looking for a drone photographer in Minneapolis? Central MN Drone flies real estate, commercial and construction aerials across Minneapolis, St. Paul and the suburbs. We are FAA Part 107 certified and insured, photos come back in 24 to 48 hours, and packages start at $129 with mileage shown upfront.
We drive down from St. Cloud for metro jobs, and we have already flown multifamily construction progress in the Twin Cities metro. You get the same pilot from the quote through delivery, with published prices and 4K UHD video and 48MP stills.
From a south Minneapolis bungalow to a suburban retail center, a good aerial answers what a street view can't: the lot, the neighborhood and the distance to the lake, the highway or the job site.
This is the part that separates a Twin Cities drone job from one in the country. Much of Minneapolis, Bloomington, Richfield and St. Paul sits in controlled airspace around MSP, and towered airports such as St. Paul Downtown, Flying Cloud, Crystal and Anoka County-Blaine have their own. Flying there legally takes FAA authorization, usually requested through the LAANC system.
Many requests come back quickly. Spots close to a runway can have a low altitude ceiling or need extra lead time, so we check your address before we quote and tell you which shots are possible. Federal rules also limit flying over people and moving traffic, which matters downtown. We pick our launch spot and time of day with that in mind, and some parks and public properties have their own takeoff rules.
This is also why you should ask anyone you hire for the metro whether they hold a Part 107 certificate and carry insurance. We do, and we'll send proof of insurance if you need it for a property manager or HOA.
Travel is included within 30 miles of St. Cloud and is $1.25 a mile round trip, round trip, beyond that. Downtown Minneapolis is about 65 miles out, or 35 miles past the line each way. That comes to 70 miles, or roughly $88. Northern suburbs cost less and the south metro costs a bit more. It will all be on your written quote, and package prices are published here.
